Rotary Youth Leadership Award

7 International students aged between 18 - 21 mainly from Europe will take part in the 2011 Rotary Youth Leadrship Award programme where they will stay with Rotary hosts for part of the programme. The Rotary Club of Alcester Alauna will again be hosting 2 of the students during their stay in the UK

The other part will be 11 days spent aboard the narrowboat Dream Catcher which is owned by the Warwickshire Association of Youth Clubs cruising the canal from Rugby to Worcester, via Stratford-upon-Avon and Birmingham where they will spend 2 night in each, exploring the town and city whilst taking in the culture and English way of life thereby enhancing the fourth aspect of Rotary "The Advancement of International Understanding Goodwill and Peace".

Upon completion the students will receive the coveted Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA)

Two further programmes will be orgainised for students from the UK aged between 15 and 17 where they will spend 5 days aboard Dream Catcher. The first programme from 22nd to 27th July will cruise from Worcester to Stratford-upon-Avon where the crews will change for the second trip from 27th to 31st July taking Dream Catcher back to the base in Rugby
