Membership Workshop - Visioning

Date and Time:
Saturday, September 27, 2014 - 09:00 - 13:00
A chance to see what Visioning is all about.
Location:
Arden Hotel Coventry Road Bickenhill Solihull B92 0EH

What is “vision”?

…an inspirational rendering of a future state…

…an articulation of how we want to be…

…a shared view to guide our actions…

…a foundation upon which to build our long and short term plans…

Why do we need to Vision?

Vision Facilitation helps a Rotary Club design its own VISION, and then sets out the steps necessary to achieve that vision. The result is not a vision decided by the Rotary District or by Rotary International but instead a vision designed and endorsed by the Club’s own members.

Leamington Spa Regency's New President and President Elect

The club meets for the first meeting of the Rotary New Year

The Immediate Past President of the Rotary Club of Leamington Spa Regency, Rachel Hinton, recently handed over to Rob Cawley the Presidency of the Club.  Rob has recently retired having owned and run a VAT recovery business.  The club has also elected Carol Ward to be President Elect, to be Club President for 2015/16.  Carol has recently moved here after several years in Chicago and before that, South Africa.

Speakers Catalog

I was just looking at the Speaker Catalogue on the 1060 website and I wonder how many people are remembering to add recommended speakers?

This could be a really valuable resource for Speaker Secretaries, but it would benefit from more suggested speakers that Clubs have had at their meetings. So, please do think about adding the details of speakers that you would recommend to other Clubs.

Special District Council - Now Postponed - Look out for new arrangements

Date and Time:
Wednesday, April 23, 2014 - 19:00 - 20:00
A Special District Council Meeting has been arranged for Wednesday 23rd April at 7.00pm when there will be one item on the Agenda, namely RIBI Restructuring incorporating changes to district boundaries. The latest proposals will be distributed to Clubs shortly so that they can consider the implications and bring their views along to the meeting on the 23rd. There will not be a formal vote on the proposals at that meeting but it will give the District Governor an idea of the feelings within the District and will give you an opportunity to ask questions and express your view.
Location:
Arden School, Knowle

District Showcase

Date and Time:
Wednesday, September 25, 2013 - 19:15 - 21:15
As part of our District 3 Year ‘rolling plan’, and with the RIBI ‘Consultation Process’ already progressing, succession planning is essential for the survival of our great ‘Heart of England’ District. We have arranged the above meeting to give insight, highlight, explain and ‘showcase’ the District Structure, and the roles of various District Officers, Committees and Committee members.
Location:
Arden Hotel, Bickenhill, Solihull B92 0PT

 ‘Your District NEEDS YOU’

Current District Officers will be giving short presentations on their roles, and coupled with ‘round table’ discussions, we hope that members will feel encouraged to get involved with ‘District’, whether as a District Committee member or a specific District Officer role.

Tea/Coffee provided. (there is NO cost for attending this event)

The meeting will conclude no later than 9.15pm with a ‘Question & Answer’ forum.

So why not come along, and see how you can help?
