New Generations Service, also known as Youth Opportunities, recognizes the positive change implemented by youth and young adults through leadership development activities such as RYLA, Rotaract and Interact club service projects, and creating international understanding with Rotary Youth Exchange.

 In the spirit of the Rotary New Generation Month of September, your Rotary Club of Leamington Spa Regency is turning its attention to the young people of our town. 

D1060 Under 12s 5 – a – Side Football Tournament

Following the success of an inaugural 5-a-side football tournament held in August, organised by District 1220 (Derbyshire) and held at the FA Centre of Excellence, St Georges Park, Burton upon Trent, it is hoped that this will develop into an annual ‘RIBI u12 Youth Football Competition’, with teams entering and representing each individual rotary district.

In order to select a team to represent D1060 at such an event, we will be seeking teams to enter into a D1060 qualifying tournament to be held possibly in March/April 2014.

Rotary Youth Leadership Awards Open Evening

The evening will be informal with an opportunity to ‘mingle’ with students from 7 countries including, Poland: Italy: India: Czech Republic: Spain: United States and of course the United Kingdom and talk to many of your Rotary District leaders for 2013/14 (DG: DGE: DGN and PDG)

Kinver Rotary's New Generation Work With Local Schools As Part Of Its Community Interaction

We are presently involved with projects at Edgecliff High School, Brindley Heath Primary School and Foley Infants School Kinver, St James Primary School and The Ridge Primary School at Wollaston, Stourbridge.


In addition to supporting the schools, we also encourage representation in school, regional and national Rotary competitions held throughout the year. A number of pupils from Edgecliff school entered and gained success in the Photographer of the Year 2012.

On Wednesday Southam College hosted the first round of the Rotary Young Chef competition.

Many of our prospective members wish to help their community but don't want to go as far as joining Rotary.  They just want to volunteer for events.  This project enables a District register of volunteer opportunities.

International Visitors

Three young women from across the world helped give an international flavour to Solihull recently. Solihull Rotary Club was the venue for a visit by the President of the Meriden Rotary Club in Connecticut, United States and for 2 students from Poland and Czechoslovakia on a Rotary sponsored tour, bringing together people from different nations, to the UK to study Business and Society.
