New Generations Service, also known as Youth Opportunities, recognizes the positive change implemented by youth and young adults through leadership development activities such as RYLA, Rotaract and Interact club service projects, and creating international understanding with Rotary Youth Exchange.

Rotary Youth Leadership Awards Open Evening

Kinver Rotary's New Generation Work With Local Schools As Part Of Its Community Interaction

We are presently involved with projects at Edgecliff High School, Brindley Heath Primary School and Foley Infants School Kinver, St James Primary School and The Ridge Primary School at Wollaston, Stourbridge.

In addition to supporting the schools, we also encourage representation in school, regional and national Rotary competitions held throughout the year. A number of pupils from Edgecliff school entered and gained success in the Photographer of the Year 2012.

Southam Young Chefs Excel

On Wednesday Southam College hosted the first round of the Rotary Young Chef competition. 

Voluntary Helpers


Many of our prospective members wish to help their community but don't want to go as far as joining Rotary.  They just want to volunteer for events.  This project enables a District register of volunteer opportunities.

Clubs are encouraged to add their own opportunities.  Each entry will automatically have a sign-up form attached.  For more details contact the webmaster.

International Visitors

Three young women from across the world helped give an international flavour to Solihull recently. Solihull Rotary Club was the venue for a visit by the President of the Meriden Rotary Club in Connecticut, United States and for 2 students from Poland and Czechoslovakia on a Rotary sponsored tour, bringing together people from different nations, to the UK to study Business and Society.

Pupils from Highclare School have won the local round of the Youth Speaks schools’ public speaking competition that has again been run by the Rotary Club of Wylde Green.

Youth Speaks is a competition for young people between the ages of 11 and 18 organised by Rotary in Great Britain and Ireland. It is designed to help young people develop confidence in their own ability to stand up and speak in front of an audience. 

Participants took part in the Senior Competition from Highclare School and Sutton Coldfield Grammar School for Girls.
