District Conference 2011

Conference presents a great opportunity to get to know what is going on in the wider field of Rotary and well as discovering what others clubs in the District are doing to live up to our motto of “Service Above Self”. It also presents a great platform for new members and potential new members to get to meet Rotarians in a gathering of Fellowship and Friendship that should encourage them to want to participate at all levels of the organisation.

Accommodation

The Headquarters Hotel will be The Imperial with 98 en-suite rooms all of which will be available at £170.00 per room Dinner, Bed & Breakfast (double occupancy) or £120 per room (single occupancy).

Bookings for the Headquarters Hotel can only be made through PDG Peter Smith the Conference Registrar.  Forms are attached, please log on to download them.

Accommodation other than at the Headquarters Hotel can be researched and booked by logging on to www.conferencebookings.co.uk and entering the code LCSR10602011. If you experience any problems using this dedicated website then telephone 01492 879771 and ask for either Adam Jones or Adrian La Trobe, they will do all they can to help you.

Conference Centre

All the Entertainment and Conference Plenary sessions will take place at Venue Cymru the main Conference Centre in Llandudno which is situated on the sea front. This is the same centre as the one we used in 2008 and contains a Café and Restaurant. There is also a large car park at the rear of the premises.

Transport

Coach Travel to and from Llandudno will available, as will a shuttle service between Hotels and the Conference Centre on a looped circuit (details to be advised at a later date). To book transport contact PDG Robin Jones, Lichfield St. Chad, the Conference Transport & Logistics Officer.
