Sajid Javid MP, Secretary of State for Business and Graham Mackenzie President Rotary Club of North Worcestershire

On 27th  August the Rotary Club of North Worcestershire successfully organised its 15th  Annual Charity Golf Day at Blackwell Golf Club. The event is a major fundraiser for the Club and over the past 15 years has raised £50,000 for many local and international charities. This year was no exception and was a great success in raising £9000.

Bromsgrove’s local MP Sajid Javid dropped by to lend his support towards the good work being undertaken and to thank the hosts, Blackwell Golf Club, and the many sponsors, organisations and businesses who helped contribute to its success.

Funds raised this year will be donated to Voluntary Service Overseas, the Worcestershire based Farmers Overseas Action Group, The Bromsgrove Festival and Victim Support in Worcestershire.

Sajid commented: “The Annual Golf Day is a fantastic local initiative. The Rotary Club provides generous support to many people in our community and further afield. I would like to emphasise my thanks to all members of the Club for their fantastic organisation, and to all the local people, businesses and organisations who helped make the day. This is Bromsgrove at its best!”.
