Please Support Dogs for the Disabled

All of us at Dogs for the Disabled are delighted to have been chosen as one of District 1060’s main charities of the 2011/12 year. We would like to introduce ourselves before we attend the conference in Llandudno in October. We’re very much looking forward to being at your gathering and for the opportunity for one or two of our clients to show you just how their dogs have made such a huge difference to their lives.

You may have heard about us already, but if not, we wanted to give you a little more information about who we are, and also to offer for one of our registered speakers to give a talk at one of your meetings if you would like.

What we do

Dogs for the Disabled is a life-transforming charity, creating exceptional partnerships between people living with disability and specially trained assistance dogs. Through practical assistance a dog can offer freedom and independence to children and adults with physical disabilities and children with autism.

Would you like to know more?

If you were interested in hearing more about us before the conference in October, we do have a network of Registered Speakers. These are often assistance dog owners, puppy socialisers or other supporters who have an intimate knowledge of our work. They are specially trained and can talk about the charity in an informed and entertaining way. So, if you would like a Speaker to attend one of your forthcoming meetings, or some information leaflets about our work, please contact Jane at or call her on 01295 759824.
