Change of Venue:

It is important that if a Club changes its venue or indeed its meeting time then in addition to notifying the RIBI Secretariat and myself the RI database should also be updated. There is, currently, no automatic feed into the Club Locator area

Club Officers’ Details:

There was a paper distributed by Dave Roberts, using the Club Boxes at the recent Council Meeting, explaining how the District Directory information would be gathered for 2012/13. Hopefully you will have now received the paper if you were not there but if not if you follow the link below all will be explained. If you still have problems contact Dave Roberts.

As you will see the deadline to update the information is the end of April

Membership Changes:

Please continue to let me have any changes in Membership numbers, gains or losses, so that the statistical information can be kept up to date. Information is welcome by e mail, letter or via the web site link.

District Assembly

...will be held at the Clarendon Rooms on Saturday morning, 21st April 2012. I hope that you will be able to join us. As usual there will be a breakout session for Secretaries. If any of you have any special topics that you want covering can you please let me know by the end of March.

I am going to an RIBI District Secretary training session at Alcester on the 31st March when some relevant issues will no doubt be raised but I would much prefer to concentrate, at the Assembly, on the matters causing you concern.


The current President of the Leamington & Warwick Rotaract Club has been nominated as the Chairman of Rotaract for Great Britain and Ireland for 2012/13. We offer him our congratulations.


Don’t forget to look at the list of speakers held on the web site which is increasing all the time. If you have had a good speaker at your Club and you wish to share the details then it is easy to add his/her name to the list.

RI Data Base:

As at the 17th March there are 5 Clubs in the District that have not entered details of some of next year’s officers on the RI data base. Clubs will not feature in the RI directory if the information is not provided.There are a lot of blanks in respect of Club Foundation Chairmen.

District Handover:

Time is flying. Handover will soon be upon us. Put the date of 27th June in your diaries and tell your colleagues. More details will be circulated later. In the meantime let DG Brian know if you want him to support your event(s)

At Council I read out a list of Rotarians who had been nominated by their Clubs to serve on the various District Committees for 2012/13. The list of names is below for your information. Further nominations can still be accepted and will be confirmed at Council in September.
