Solihull Club again hosts RYLA students from Poland and Czech Republic

visiting the centre of England - one of the students is from Meriden CT!

The RYLA programme is one of the most important projects that Rotary organises for young people, both from the UK and overseas. Rotarians Ian & Sheila Courts, from the Solihull Club have hosted overseas students on a large number of occasions and their latest visitors were Jakub from near Prague, in the Czech Republic, and Matti from Warsaw. The students spend three weeks in the area: the first one with hosts and they do visits to Rotary clubs, look at the local area and cultural and historic attractions. Then follows a week at the Moreton Morrell College with other students from UK and overseas, developing leadership skills in areas such as orienteering, self defence, team games, all helping to improve their leadership skills. Then another week with hosts, with a programme of visits. Well done to John Hughes fro all your work in pulling this programme together, year after year. We have noticed the difference with some of our students after their visits over here.
