Update on Birmingham Airport

Asst Governor Gary Dancer joined Solihull Rotary Club President Monika Badham at its meeting to hear Andy Holding, Community Affairs Manager at Birmingham Airport, update the club on the events taking place at the airport over the last 12 months;  the runway extension, new airlines now operating from the airport, record passenger numbers over the summer. The Airport is working hard to connect our region with the world and the extended runway can now give connectivity, for example, with the Far East.  Gary was wearing a purple shirt to publicise the polio campaign. Purple is the colour of the dye that is used on children's fingers to show they have been inoculated against polio.
