By David Robinson - Posted on 29 March 2017

On Tuesday 14th March 2017, Rotarian Gary Dancer, District Governor Nominee visited Coventry North Rotary Club and gave an illustrated talk to members regarding Nepal. We had made a donation to the disaster fund on a previous occasion and Gary wished to tell us how the money had been spent on a new school. This was called the Shree Janapemi school in a remote part of Nepal. Gary then told us about his recent visit to an immigration settlement in Dunkirk, where he meet a number of ‘stateless’ children and supplied them with many ‘goodies’, i.e. 100 backpacks filled with toiletries, sweets etc. Many of the children had never had such luxuries before.

President John gave a cheque to Gary for a further donation to the charity and wished him well for the future.

Past President Ron Taylor gave the vote of thanks on behalf of the members.
