The Aim is to have an 'inter-active' workshop - update You on the range of YO-NG Programmes available during the new 2012-13 Rotary Year - to meet the Team involved which include the RIBI / District Competition Organisers - & to discuss & deal with your Queries. 

The Purpose of the Event is to support You in the important & valuable work that You & Your Club are planning to do to involve & suport Young People.

Rotary Youth Leadership Awards Open Evening

Rotarians are invited to an open evening which will include a presentation by the teams and a chance to meet Nadhim Zahwaw, MP for Stratford upon Avon.

The evening will be informal with an opportunity to mingle with students from 7 countries including: Poland, Italy, India, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, USA and of course UK.

Membership Development Seminars

Membership development will continue to take high priority during 2012/13 and RIBI is planning a series of webinars to help and support clubs.

A webinar is a web-based seminar and these webinars will be similar to viewing a Powerpoint presentation with a voiceover with the added ability to have a Q&A session at the end. It is a cost effective way of delivering many elements of a seminar but from the comfort of your home or office.

For the second time of asking would all clubs please complete an International Projects Report, to enable us to compile the District report for RIBI.
It is really importatn that you let us know what International projects your club has been involved in.

NEW 1060 COMMUNITY AWARD FOR 2012/13

£5,000 for a very worthwhile cause

This is a NEW AWARD with funding up to £5000...any Rotary Club in 1060 can enter.

The rules are simple :-

  • It is for the best local community project in Rotary District 1060 that needs financial assistance to make it happen

  • It may all be given to one Club, or spread among Clubs thought to have an equally good workable idea, to a maximimum of 5 Clubs.

  • Your project may be one that needs additional funding or be a brand new idea to be developed

Rotary and Polio – The End Game

 Peter Balfe has extensive knowledge about Polio and is an expert in viral infections, so come along and find out more about Polio as we, hopefully, enter the final stages of its eradication. New Rates for District Conference HQ Hotel

I am pleased to be able to tell you that the HQ Hotel for the District Conference in Cardiff have agreed to reduce their rates for our event and I give below these new prices. They are substantially lower than those previously notified. I would most grateful, please, if you could pass on these new rates in your next monthly News Letter and encourage Rotarians to taken advantage of these reductions and to book at the HQ hotel.
