By Stella Almond - Posted on 03 February 2013

Peace through Freedom on Saturday 20th April at the University of Hull

In line with RI President Tanaka’s initiative “Peace through Service” Rotary District 1270 is delighted to offer a special Peace Forum.

Working in association with WISE, the Wilberforce Institute for the Study of Slavery and Emancipation, we will examine and consider the impact on peace and conflict by modern day slavery and human trafficking as well as other issues affecting the cause of peace.

The Forum has attracted a number of eminent speakers, including academics and Peace Fellows from our own Rotary Centre for International Studies in Peace and Conflict Resolution at Bradford University and promises to be an enthralling and educational experience.Rotarians, family, friends and associates are all invited to attend and we have allocated a significant number of places to young students,

Rotoractors, Interactors, Exchange Students and RYLA participants at a reduced rate.
