The eighth Kinver Rotary Club 10k road race in aid of Action Heart, Dudley, took place on 29th September.182 runners took part. The 2k fun run had 45 entrants.

The winner of the 10k race finished in 36 min 50 seconds (see attached photo). The race raised about £2,000 for Action Heart with some sponsorship still to come in.

Kinver Rotary are grateful for the support of Action Heart, Staffordshire Police, The Red Cross and Doctor Kevin Riley. Brindley Heath and Edgecliff schools once again allowed us to use their premises and fields.

Thanks, too, to our sponsors: BodyKraft, Dudley Motor Company and Granlyn. Thanks also to the Co-op in Kinver who supplied water for the runners.

Since this story was posted further sponsorship from runners has been received, taking the total raised for Action Heart well in excess of £2500
