Kinver Rotary Club’s fifth 10k run was its most successful ever with more than 250 runners taking part in an event that has become recognised as one of the toughest in the West Midlands.

As the cost of staging the race – and its complementary  2k family fun run – was sponsored by BodyKraft of Pensnett, whose managing director Mike Pugh is a member of the Kinver club, the entire income, which is expected to top £4,000, will be donated to Action Heart, the cardiac centre at Russells Hall Hospital in Dudley.   The official starter was South Staffs MP Gavin Williamson who also presented the prizes, saying: “The work done by Kinver Rotary is a real credit to them and valued by so many in the local community.”
