ARCHITECT STEPHEN JOINS KINVER ROTARY CLUB

By Ian Maddock - Posted on 08 November 2012

Kinver Rotary Club is delighted to welcome Stephen Bullock, who was inducted on November 5th.

Stephen is a Chartered Architect who has lived in Kinver since May 1995. He qualified at Birmingham School of Architecture & Hull School of Architecture and has worked in Bromley, Kent, and British Rail Architects in York, responsible for buildings serving the East Coast Main line. He undertook feasibility studies for the Euro star main line connections with the Channel Tunnel but returned to the Midlands to work for McCarthy & Stone, being responsible for sheltered accommodation in Market Harborough, Kidlington, Bicester, Llanelli and Penarth in South Wales. Since 2001 he has been Senior Partner at Gould Singleton Architects, based in Halesowen.

Stephen’s hobbies include both spectating at and participating in motoring events. He has entered cars in European ‘banger’ events over the last 6 years, has been a regular spectator at British Grand Prix, Isle of Man TT , RAC Rally, and was lucky enough to visit Indianapolis 500 in 2006.

Stephen has been both Chairman and President of Halesowen Round Table and an active member of Halesowen 41 Club, and Black Country 41 Club.

Stephen’s ‘bucket list’ includes a drive to Southern Greece and back, doing the classic European tour, visiting Daytona 500 race, driving Route 66 across the states, touring New Zealand and Canada, and finally retiring somewhere warm!

We look forward to Stephen being an active and committed member of our Club. No doubt as an architect he has plans for the future!
