Arvind graduated from Medical School at Punjab University in 1970.
After initial training he became a lecturer in Paediatrics, gaining his Master’s Degree in 1974.
He came to the UK in 1980 and did further training in Paediatrics at Guildford, Aberdeen, Liverpool and Birmingham.
During this time, he gained a Diploma in Tropical Child Health and his MRCP (Membership of the Royal College of Physicians) in London.
In 1988 he was appointed as the Consultant in Paediatrics at Dudley, and went on to be Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer with Birmingham University , Assistant Professor with the University of Grenada and a Royal College Tutor in Paediatrics.
For 10 years, Arvind was Head of Paediatrics at Russell's Hall Hospital before retiring in November 2011.
Away from the NHS Arvind involves himself with Arya Samaj Hindu Cultural and Religious Organisation in Birmingham and, having been President for two years, is now involved on the National Committee.
In summary, Arvind is a gentleman who dedicates himself to the things he gets involved in, both in and outside work. He aims for the top, and he will be an excellent representative of Kinver Rotary.
