Proof that Kinver won the Large Village category in the Staffs County Council Best Kept Village in 2012 is now evident with the positioning of a commemorative plaque on the wall of the clinic in the centre of the village, alongside the awards from previous years. Lyn Hingley, who chaired the committee responsible for the 2012 success, is pictured with (l to r) Matt Pickett, Roger Howe and Nick Geoghegan from Kinver Rotary Club without whose members’ input she says the success would not have been possible.

Rtn Geoghegan, who is vice president of the club, has pledged members’ support for the 2013 competition when Mrs Hingley hopes to take success further with top place in the county-wide competition.
