By Ian Maddock - Posted on 01 October 2012

Auctioneer Roger Sadler weaved his magic once again at Kinver Rotary Club's annual Harvest Auction, extracting £2058 from Rotarians and guests in his usual inimitable way.

Items and promises donated for auction included produce, flowers, champagne, wines and spirits - including a bottle of House of Commons whisky signed by the Prime Minister and donated by Gavin Williamson M.P. Edible gifts included several cakes, mince pies and a Christmas cake. Unusual donations included a massage. Two planters, original creations by Mollie MacPherson, fetched a goodly sum. Meals and a barbecue were popular items, as were holiday lets in Newquay, Wales and in Turkey. Roger ensured an entertaining evening and a healthy contribution to the club's charitable funds.
