KINVER ROTARY CLUB PLANS FOR ANOTHER 10K RACE SUCCESS

By Ian Maddock - Posted on 01 May 2012

Plans are well ahead for a repeat on Sunday september 30th of the annual 10k run organised by the Rotary Club of Kinver, in association with Action Heart.

All operational and administrative costs have already been covered by the sponsorship of Pensnett-based vehicle body repair centre BodyKraft, with additional funding by Dudley Motor Company. This will result in all proceeds from runners' entry fees and, in many cases, their individual sponsorships going to Action Heart, which received more than £4000 from last year's event.

Rotarian John Pittwood, who is chairing the Kinver Rotary Club committee organising the run - and the associated 2k family fun run says "The Kinver race has become well known for its challenging course and the high standard of organisation. The course will be the same and we are doing all we can to ensure that the organisation lives up to its reputation.

"Our local MP Gavin Williamson has already agreed to be our official starter and almost every member of the club, and many wives and friends, will again be assisting on the day to ensure another successful and profitable event."

Entry forms are available from Action Heart on 01384 292233 or from www.actionheartrunning.com or from Run Britain.
