Leamington Spa Regency Rotary Group is launching a new membership recruitment campaign called “Come and Join Us” with an exhibition at  Leamington Spa Library from the 11th February.  

President Karen Ralph says “we really are a very active but small Rotary group supporting the local community, charities and international humanitarian projects but we really need more members to enable us to this work”; Karen adds; “we hope people will visit our exhibition at Leamington library to see what we really do and dispel a few myths about Rotary, for example many still think it is a men’s only club when in fact the majority of members are women in our group.”

The Rotary group will hold its exhibition at the Library from the Saturday 11th to Friday 17th February. with members being on hand to answer any questions on Saturday, where people will be able to see the exciting things the group does. 

Leamington Spa regency recently announced its programme for the next 6 months which includes interesting speakers from all walks of life and social events, as well as its community and charity work.  The programme includes: 

  •  Speakers such as charity founder Jayne Kaye-Bailey of the Butterfly Tree charity, Anita Burrows of Myton Hospice, local author of the book “Sure Strike” Nigel Rock and Chris Underhill of local charity BasicNeeds;

  • Social events such as a Pancake Making, Easter Egg Hunt, Champagne Cream Tea, Pub Quiz and games evenings;

  • Supporting the work of Warwickshire Young Carers and local schools.
