Competition Launched for Young People in Leamington

Rotary Young Photographer
Young Writer Competition

In the spirit of the Rotary New Generation Month of September, your Rotary Club of Leamington Spa Regency is turning its attention to the young people of our town.

For the first time, the local Club is running the first round of two exciting national competitions, both specifically for young people: Young Photographer of the Year, and Young Writer of the Year.

Embrace the beginning of the new academic year by offering your children the chance to shine.

If they have a voice that they want to be heard, they can write 500 words of prose on the theme of ‘What a Difference That Made to my Life’ (the that can be anything you want), and see how far they go.

And if your child loves to point and click a camera, take the chance to truly develop their skills: let them challenge themselves to take three stunning pictures on the theme of ‘People’ and send them in to Rotary.

These national competitions are open to all children aged between 7 and 11. With exciting prizes to be won, there is no reason not to give it a try and get involved today! The closing date for all entries is 30 March 2014.

Please contact May Shaker, from the Rotary Club of Leamington Spa Regency, on for more information.
