A New Initiative for a new type of Rotary Club

Lichfield St Chad Rotary proposes setting up a new branch of Rotary in the Lichfield area.  Currently a number of suitable venues are being assessed, where informal fortnightly meeting could be held.

Rotary International is the largest voluntary service organisation, with over 1.2 million members worldwide, and is generally well known for helping charity organisations both in the local community and internationally.  In always seeking to move forward, there is a need to make Rotary membership more accessible, to not only encourage the younger generation of Rotarians, but also mindful of increasing time pressures which can limit any ‘club’ involvement.

By establishing a new, versatile and flexible Rotary branch, it is hoped we can attract people that are looking to help their local community ‘put something back’, but without having to commit to any regular or formal meetings.

It is envisaged, indeed encouraged that the formation and operation of the new Rotary branch would be in the hands of the new members, whilst assistance would be available from the existing Lichfield St Chad Rotary.

Does this sound like something you would like to get involved with, wanting to help your Lichfield community, then why not come along?      Along with the relaxed approach, there is no pressure for anyone to become a member, as there is a ‘try before you buy’ approach.

Should you have any questions, wish to register your interest, and be advised in advance of the first introductory meeting please contact Robin Jones on 01543 255981 or email at
