Our now, annual Ride 4 Health run in association with the Heart Foundation and Freedom Cycles was a great success this year with over 50 riders aged from 2 to 85!

The weather forecast was not particularly good, but the rain held off enough for everyone to enjoy the day.Lichfield's Sherriff Andrew Smith is also a keen cyclist and he undertook the whole course from Market Square to Curborough Sprint Track, did a few brisk laps and came back to the City - our Mayor, Cllr. Janice Greaves came along to help Andrew start the run.

With 18 riders last year and over 50 this year, let's see if next year's event can be even bigger and better! Our thanks go to all the participants and organisers from St Chad for making it such a success.   Our thanks also go to Fleur and David Green of Cycle2000, Burton on Trent and the team from Freedom Cycles who gave their support in ensuring all the cyclists were correctly set up at the start - a very important job!
