Special guests at our Christmas Dinner

By David Cross - Posted on 28 December 2017

Police Cadets Presentation

Among the guests at Lichfield St Chad's Christmas dinner was a contingent from Staffordshire Police Cadets, who were present for a very special reason. The club is pleased to be supporting the Cadets as Platinum Patrons for the next three years, which is a big commitment. President Tim Wadsworth presented Deputy Police and Crime Commissioner Sue Arnold with a cheque for £5,000 for the first year. The Cadet service is all about giving advantages to young people - some from challenging backgrounds - who through a positive and vibrant programme can learn how to become responsible citizens. Cadets work towards nationally recognised qualifications in team-working, citizenship and personal skills following a detailed programme that covers every aspect of policing and how they support the police in keeping our communities safe and reassured.
