Lichfield St Chad

40Welcome to the Rotary Club of Lichfield St Chad

The Rotary Club of Lichfield St Chad (led this year by our President, Tim Wadsworth) is a friendly, informal group of 23 or so people from all walks of life and is one of two Rotary clubs in Lichfield.

The Club has served the community of Lichfield for over thirty-six years, raising much needed funds for many local charities and running projects to foster community spirit and to encourage the talents of our young people. In addition, we also support Rotary's international causes which make change on a global scale - the eradication of Polio through Rotary's Polio-Plus campaign being just one example of many.  The Club organises a number of local fund raising and social activities throughout the year, the most prominent of which is the well established ‘Cars in the Park’ event that in 2016 raised over £32,000 for Rotary charities and the other main charities involved in the event.  In addition we have the Cathedral to Castle Run and the Ride4Health events which although relatively new to the club's calendar have successfully raised even more funds for our good causes.

We are also pleased to have a thriving Interact Club (one of over 20,000 round the world), based at the Friary School.  This enthusiastic group of young people meets regularly and arranges various activities throughout the year to raise funds for good causes.

You can be assured of a very warm welcome if you come along to one of our weekly meetings (listed under the 'Events' button at the top left-hand of this page) where you can find out more about who we are and what we do and, more importantly, experience the fellowship of a unique group of people who put a lot into their Rotary life and also get a lot out of it.
