Purity Brewing Company is an award winning craft brewery established in 2005.
When Purity Brewing Company set out the mission was simple: brew great beer without prejudice, with a conscience and with a consistency and an attention to detail, which is second to none.
For our first Vocational visit of the year on 25 August, the club visited LoCal Homes, situated on Beechdale Estate Walsall. Welcome to the first newsletter of this new Rotary year.
I think we have had a good start. We started the year by welcoming two new members who
already have brought some additional zest and humour to the club. Let’s hope we can build on this and welcome some more new members this year.
Thank you to David Saunders and Bryan Carpenter for running the first two meetings ofthe year whilst I was in Canada. I understand the speakers Jim Willis organised were very interesting and thought provoking. John Wall followed with what I am told was a very clever

On our away day visit to Gloucester (Staverton) Airport on 4th August some members were hoping to be taken up for a short ride in a light aircraft. Sadly, the day turned out to be one of the windiest for some time and flying was out of the question, much to the diappointment of the members.
On 28th July the Annual skittles match between the Rotary Clubs of Redditch Kingfisher, Redditch and Alcester took place at HDA Sports Ground in Redditch.
Redditch came out on top to retain the trophy for a second year.
Agreat evening of fun and friendship was had by all - even those that lost. Our RYLA student from America found it facinating and had not heard of skittles - maybe she will take the sport bach to America.
If you want tohave fun and fellowship - get in touch and join our club - or just come along to one of our meetings and find out what we do.

February 23 marks an important date for us, the 110th anniversary of Rotary International. On this day in 1905, Rotary founder Paul Harris formed one of the world’s first service organizations, the Rotary Club of Chicago, as a place where professionals with diverse backgrounds could exchange ideas and form meaningful, lifelong friendships. Since then, Rotary has continued its commitment to service by providing clean water, improving maternal health, awarding scholarships, fighting diseases, and improving lives around the world.
On the 17 February Redditch Kingfisher will be hosting a post Valentines Dinner when the two Japanese scholars Shintaro Shinguchi and Nozomi Ogishima will be guest speakers and give a presentation.
If you wish to attend please contact the club before the Sunday prior to the event.
On 3 February The Rotary Club of Redditch Kingfisher invited Bill Carmen to talk on "Tales of a Steam Model Railway Enthusiast". Bill spoke of his lifetime hobby of building model railways and in particular the construction of the steam engines, everyone imaculatly constructed by his fair hand. We were not allowed to touch in case we dropped one which then would have to undergo a two year rebuild at great cost. The goods vans were also all constructed by hand. Amazing how much detail there was - down to the rivets on the engines. A great evening.
On Saturday 6th December Club Members, in two hour shifts, collected £601 towards Local Rotary Charities at the local Sainsburys store in Redditch.
The club thanks the store and their staff for a warm welcome and the people of Redditch for their generosity.
The money raised will be distributed to local charities during the next few months. The club welcomes requests from local charities for a donation to their charity.
