Over 200 people attended our recent 'Big Band Christmas' event at Trinity High School on the 5th December. Featuring Worcestershire Youth Jazz Orchestra (WYJO), this year's concert followed the success of 2015's inaugural event with MYJO, and demonstrated just how much support there is for live music in the Redditch area.

The evening's programme featured big band standards from the 1920's up to the present day, a few Christmas numbers to get us into festive mood, and several vocal pieces by WYJO's solo singer Rose Johnson.

As well as supporting the young muscians from across Worcestershire - two of whom hale from Redditch - the concert raised over £2,000 to help fund the work of Batchley Support Group, our chosen local charity.

Thanks to Tony Banks for all the terrific photo's he took on the night - we have featured a very small selection.
