Despite the inclement weather, which kept people away on the Sunday afternoon, our stalls at Morton Stanley Festival raised over £800 for our local charity, St. Basil's. Morton Stanley  is a free community festival which attracts many thousands of visitors of all ages and backgrounds, and this year's event provided a great oppportunity to raise the profile of Rotary in the town. We were assisted by our 'daughter' club - Rotary Club of Redditch Kingfisher - who helped us to set up our stalls, and run an information stall which attracted interest from a number of people wanting to know more about Rotary and its' work.

At least 15 of our members were involved over the weekend, which involved effective teamwork and cameraderie. Visitors to our stand included the Mayor of Redditch, Councillor Pattie Hill, Council Leader Bill Hartnett, and several representatives of local community groups.
