Competition was at its fiercest on Wednesday 22nd August in Dorridge, when three Rotary clubs in Solihull fought to see who might win or retain the much coveted putting trophy. In the end, Solihull Rotary Club triumphed yet again this year, closely followed, it has to be said, by St Alphege, and Knowle & Dorridge Clubs. The four members of the proud winning Solihull team are shown in the photograph - Dyson Richards, Don Finch, Ian Courts and Brian Talbot. Newcomer to the team, Ian, commented " I have never quite played a course like this: with the length of this putting green, I am surprised someone has not suggested using a driver!" After all the excitement, there was a chicken dinner at the Knowle & Dorridge Cricket Club.file://localhost/Users/iancourts/Pictures/iPhoto%20Library/Masters/2012/08/25/20120825-222040/Image%204.jpg
