By Bill Pease - Posted on 28 November 2017

The Rotary Club of Southam Tree of Light was switched on by the Mayor of Southam, Cllr Lee Ellard, as part of the town's Christmas celebrations on Sunday 26th November. Once again residents of Southam and the surrounding villages have been invited to sponsor lights on the tree in memory of loved ones. In excess of £2,000 has been donated so far this year which will all be passed on to Acorns Children’s Hospice to support their valuable work. The Tree of Light is situated alongside Southam Carpets in Coventry Street and will be lit for the whole of the Christmas season. A Book of Remembrance, listing all those in whose memory donations have been made, will be in Southam Library during this time. The Rotary Club of Southam wishes to acknowledge the generous support of Dywidag-Systems International and Southam Carpets.
