Community, Vocational and Youth activities

Community and Vocational Service have been described as the 'shop window' of Rotary, concerned with the work done by Rotarians in the local area.  It presents an opportunity for the Club to examine and respond to the needs of the less fortunate or to a worthy project in the area. 

Fund raising activities include: - Easter and Christmas collections - Golf Day

Activities include: Leonard Cheshire Disability, Greenacres residential establishment;  Christmas hampers and meals for local elderly residentsOrganisations supported include: Acorns Children's Hospice;  Erdington Handicapped Children's Club; St Basil's; Troop Aid


Youth Activities

Investing in young people is a high profile commitment emphasising that working with and for tomorrow's leaders will lead to a greater international understanding amongst young people.

Activities include: Dictionaries for Life;  Football competition for local school children;  Kids Out;  Mablethorpe Holidays for young people;  Rotary Junior Community Awards;  Rotary Young Chef;  Wylde Green Scouts;  Youth Speaks
